Job Title: Network Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Lexington, KY (Onsite – Contract to Hire, W2 only)
Role Overview:
The Infrastructure Engineer will design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure across corporate sites. This role requires strong expertise in networking, servers, and system administration, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of business-critical systems. The engineer will also collaborate with other teams to support growth, technology upgrades, and security initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and manage servers, operating systems, and Cisco network devices
- Administer firewalls, routers, switches, and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Monitor infrastructure performance and resolve system and application outages
- Plan capacity and scalability to support business needs
- Implement and maintain security standards and compliance practices
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams to integrate systems and support facility IT requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5–8 years in infrastructure engineering or IT systems administration
- Strong knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
- Windows and Linux server administration
- VMware experience (preferred)
- Solid understanding of security best practices
- Strong troubleshooting and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%) and work occasional weekends
Preferred Skills:
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Scripting/automation with PowerShell or Python
- Experience supporting industrial/manufacturing environments
