WHAT YOU''LL DO
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary GIS liaison between the GIS Unit and TSMO/STOC, ensuring effective communication and project coordination.
- Gather business requirements from operations teams and translate operational needs into GIS solutions.
- Develop and maintain GIS applications, dashboards, maps, and data supporting traffic operations, routing, incident management, and situational awareness.
- Monitor, prioritize, and manage GIS requests while providing troubleshooting and user support.
- Oversee junior GIS specialists, triage projects, and delegate work when additional GIS resources are needed.
- Attend STOC and TM&S operational meetings to understand workflows, identify GIS opportunities, and proactively support operations.
- Maintain knowledge of traffic operations, ATMS/TIMS, IMAP, and related systems to anticipate operational needs and recommend GIS improvements.
- Support emergency and weather response by creating real-time maps and integrating live operational data.
