Education And Experience
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- 4 years of experience within an accounting department
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Familiarity with freight shipping, invoicing, and related processes Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- 10-key by touch
- Work with project management and sales teams to ensure accurate invoicing for direct contracts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Role within Systems' Finance group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Ensure accurate invoicing of customers for prior day shipments of parts, dock levelers, truck restraints, bumpers, lights and control boxes
- Work with project management and sales teams to ensure accurate invoicing for direct contracts
- Review freight costs for each shipment, calculate markup and invoice to customer on daily invoices
- Work with sales, tech service, customer service and credit department to resolve any billing discrepancies
- aintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.Supervision Exercised (this section should be filled out when an employee has supervisory responsibilities)
- Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts receivables/ general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
