What are the responsibilities and job description for the FAA Part 107 Drone Operator position at V&M Systems Group?
Job Description
V&M Systems Group is seeking experienced FAA Part 107 Certified UAS Operators based in Virginia to support ongoing contract work across commercial and infrastructure-related projects.
This is a subcontractor role for operators who own and deploy their own equipment and can execute missions independently with minimal oversight.
Scope of Work:
• Aerial data capture (photo/video)
• Mapping, surveying, and site documentation
• Infrastructure and asset inspections
• Project-based assignments across Virginia (travel may be required)
Requirements:
• Active FAA Part 107 Certification
• Must own and operate professional-grade drone equipment
• Ability to plan and execute flights in compliance with FAA regulations
• Strong communication and timely delivery of deliverables
• Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
Preferred Experience:
• Construction, utility, or infrastructure projects
• Photogrammetry / mapping software (Pix4D, DroneDeploy, etc.)
• Government or commercial contract support experience
Engagement Details:
• Contract / 1099 basis
