Scope of Project
NCDIT is seeking a Senior System Administrator to provide onsite endpoint and desktop support services. The contractor will support day-to-day IT operations, including device provisioning, troubleshooting, software installations, onboarding/offboarding, asset management, and endpoint management activities within an enterprise Windows and Microsoft 365 environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality desktop and endpoint support with excellent customer service skills
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users
- Troubleshoot Windows OS, hardware, and software-related issues
- Support Microsoft 365 applications and services
- Image, provision, and deploy new hardware and replacement devices
- Perform PC maintenance, equipment inventory, and asset tracking
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including device setup and shipping coordination
- Document all work activities and tickets in ServiceNow
- Follow asset management processes to ensure accurate customer billing
- Test Intune processes and provide feedback to Tier 3 teams
- Test software installations, upgrades, and OS updates
- Install software in accordance with security and internal policies
- Provide guidance and instruction to remote users during troubleshooting
- Assist in developing team processes and maintaining a knowledge base
- Work with vendors on warranty and hardware support cases
- Collaborate with internal teams on technical issues
- Participate in special projects as required
Required/Preferred Skills:
Required (5 Years):
- Desktop and endpoint support in enterprise environments
- Windows OS and Microsoft 365 support
- Hardware imaging, provisioning, and deployment
- Software installation, upgrade testing, and troubleshooting
- Onboarding/offboarding coordination
- Asset management and documentation (ServiceNow)
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
