Scope of Project
County of Sacramento is currently sourcing a contractor to backfill a Project Manager.
Project and task management for embedded Airports IT.
This applies to projects that are either:
- Large, IT-centric initiatives led by Airports IT, or
- The IT portion of a project led by another team
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects running in parallel
- Lead project meetings
- Create and maintain project plans
- Assign tasks and track ownership
- Follow up to keep work on schedule and unblock issues
- Coordinate with Airports IT stakeholders and project teams
- Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and risks
- Ensure effective communication across project participants
Required/Preferred Skills:
Required:
- Project Management experience
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
- Project planning and scheduling
- Task assignment and ownership tracking
- Risk and issue management
- Meeting facilitation and stakeholder communication
- Ability to follow up and drive projects to completion
Preferred:
- Experience supporting Airports IT environments
- Public Sector/Government experience
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
