Job Description
The New York City Department of Social Services (DSS) is modernizing the NYCWAY platform, a mission-critical workforce engagement and public assistance system. The selected consultant will provide technical leadership across application analysis, design, development, production support, Agile project delivery, and modernization initiatives. The consultant will work closely with business users, developers, QA teams, and project managers to build and support enterprise applications utilizing .NET, Angular, and Oracle technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop system documentation and operational procedures.
- Design and document system enhancements and technical solutions.
- Participate in Agile, Scrum, and sprint delivery activities.
- Develop and implement application features using Angular, C#, .NET Core, and Oracle technologies.
- Maintain application architecture, audit mechanisms, logs, and security controls.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
- Perform application analysis, design, testing, and implementation activities.
- Coordinate testing efforts and production support activities.
- Troubleshoot application and production issues.
- Support CI/CD deployments and release management activities using Azure DevOps.
Required Skills:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience with the following skill sets:
- MAPPER Analysis/Programming
- Systems analysis and design
- Technical and user documentation, software conversions
- Experience and knowledge of the UNISYS mainframe and the PC environment
- Lead in the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions
- Producing management reports
- Designing, developing, and testing of Application using Visual Studio .Net, C#, .NET MVC, .NET Core, SQL Server, Web Forms, Windows Services, WEB API, REST API, Entity Framework and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Designed the Front-End using Angular 18,HTML 5, CSS, Bootstrap, Typescript, JavaScript, JQuery, JavaScript & AJAX.
