We are looking for an Accounting Manager to work for our client. The ideal candidate will align with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Responsibilities
- Be a hands-on leader of a team of talented accounting professionals
- Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to improve transparency, efficiency, and process development.
- Monitor relevant GAAP developments to ensure accounting policies are compliant.
- Identify and drive projects to develop and enhance procedures for areas of ownership.
- Lead the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate results.
- Lead the team in successfully executing against close responsibilities during the period.
- Proactively work with other departments on new business initiatives; ensure financial statements reflect proper recognition of new business transactions per GAAP.
- Prepare special reports and assist in special projects as assigned by the Controller and management team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of accounting experience
- Outstanding leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem solve and think both creatively and logically
- Strong attention to detail
