POSITION SUMMARY
The Salesforce Developer – Salesforce Platform Specialist serves in a hybrid role combining advanced Salesforce administration and development. This position is responsible for configuring, customizing, and building scalable solutions that support business needs and align with Salesforce best practices. Whether you’re fine-tuning automations, solving complex technical challenges, or integrating external systems, your work will ensure our Salesforce ecosystem remains a powerful and efficient tool for the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Building Enhancements (40%)
- Flow Development: Design, build, and optimize Salesforce Flows to support scalable and maintainable business processes.
- Custom Development: Develop solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and other tools, ensuring secure and efficient customizations aligned with Salesforce standards.
- Integration: Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using APIs or middleware.
- Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation and promote knowledge sharing for long-term sustainability.
Defect Resolution (40%)
- Root Cause Analysis: Identify and resolve underlying causes of system issues to prevent recurrence.
- Debugging: Troubleshoot and fix issues in Flows, Apex, and LWC components.
- Performance Optimization: Improve existing code and configurations for scalability and performance.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for platform issues and team members.
Refinement & Requirements Gathering (20%)
- Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Solution Design: Propose scalable and maintainable solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Backlog Grooming: Participate in refining and prioritizing user stories and tasks.
- Documentation & Communication: Document requirements and maintain clear stakeholder communication.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Education & Experience
- 5 years Salesforce experience across administration and development
- Required: Salesforce Developer I, Salesforce Administrator certifications
- Preferred: Salesforce Developer II certification
- Strong experience with Salesforce Flows and declarative tools
- Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, and LWC
- Experience with Salesforce data/security models and governor limits
- Experience with REST/SOAP integrations
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Git, Copado, Gearset)
- Agile/Scrum experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, security, and best practices
- Experience building custom apps, objects, workflows, and flows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Self-directed and able to work independently in remote environments
- Continuous learner of Salesforce platform updates and features
- Experience in Service Cloud (Case Management, Omni-Channel, Knowledge, CTI, SMS, Chat)
- Familiarity with Education Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Einstein Analytics is a plus
