Complex Care, Advanced Skills In the MICU, you’ll care for some of the most critically ill patients in the region. Our diverse and high-acuity population includes individuals experiencing: Neurological emergencies: Stroke, Seizures, Guillain-Barré (GB), TNK, Thrombectomies Cardiac crises: Myocardial Infarction (MI), CHF, IABP, Impella, Cardiac Arrest, ECMO Pulmonary challenges: COPD, ILD, PNA, COVID ICU Severe infections: Sepsis, Septic Emboli Metabolic and toxicologic emergencies: DKA, Overdose (OD), Liver Failure, Renal Failure Gastrointestinal bleeding: GIB Advanced therapies: CRRT, CDT End-of-life (EOL) care: Compassionate, patient-centered support for patients and families This environment demands sharp clinical judgment, rapid decision-making, and a deep commitment to continuous learning.
