Processing Operator- Week Night

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Processing Operator to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA on Weekend Night Shift.

As a Processing Operator, this candidate will be responsible for preparing, operating, and monitoring extruder and related equipment for cheese curls and balls production lines. This position works Monday - Thursday 5:55PM-5:55AM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fills in for all processing positions in the event of absences or breaks, performing all duties assigned to that role.
• Carries out all necessary daily and weekly sanitation procedures for either peeler or frying area.
• Cleans and/or inspects all eyewash stations, high pressure hoses, salt carts, fire extinguishers, and kettle rotor tables.
• Empties trash and rocks in the frying room
• Maintains stock and replenish; incoming slicer blades and holders, diluted degreaser, TM70 barrels, clean chemical totes, boot cleaner, water coolers (Summer), sock filters, and rags upon delivery.
• Operates peeler/slicer system to maintain enough supply of properly peeled and sliced raw potatoes for fryer operation.
• Performs inventory counts weekly and submits written Inventory Logs to supervisor.
• Operates UTZ vehicle to transport empty chemical totes to Plant 1. Must have valid DL and clean driving record.
• Inspects peeled potatoes and trims defects to control quality of raw potato input to fryer.
• Reports all quality or mechanical problems to the supervisor.
• Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
• Works in a safe manner at all times and communicates any safety issues to supervisor.
• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
