What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at Utz Quality Foods, Inc?
Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Plant Manager to join our Manufacturing team in Hanover, PA. Reporting to the AVP, Manufacturing, the Plant Manager will direct all phases of plant operations including production and quality control, while leading continuous performance improvement efforts, diagnosing operational opportunities and developing corrective action plans as required.
Candidates must have 5 years of prior leadership experience, preferably in the food manufacturing industry. Candidates must have experience managing large scope projects and capital improvements. Working knowledge in diverse business functions including manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and preventative functions is essential.
Plant Manager:
- Direct the manufacturing of products at highest quality and lowest
- Develop and implement methods of achieving plant performance and efficiency to meet plant and corporate goals.
- Work with production supervision, production planning and other departments, ensuring that product supply meets demand.
- Monitor all plant operations regularly and systematically in regard to overall plant efficiency and recommend methods and procedures for enhancement in the areas of safety, continuous improvement, plant efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Develop and maintain a safe workplace in accordance with regulatory and plant Build and maintain an effective safety team in manufacturing and related plant departments.
- Responsible to ensure food safety and responsible for supporting the enforcement of policies and procedures related to quality, good manufacturing practices, safe quality foods, and all other food safety regulations and requirements.
- Initiate capital spending recommendations to support future growth and profitability of Plant Operations. Recommend capital improvement projects and participate in capital project planning and
