What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Duty Trailer Mechanic position at Utility Trailers of New England?
We are hiring immediately for the trailer mechanic position! Turn key candidates must have 2-4 years equivalent work experience, experience with welding, trailer body and mechanical repairs. Must have a good working knowledge of air brakes, ABS and suspensions.
About the role:
Repairs/replaces components on the body, trailer, chassis, and container to include roofs, panels and side posts, rail splice / replacement, door header and doors, sub-frames, floors, prop legs, landing gear, and accident repair. Accident repairs on trailers may include welding and complex component changes (frame rebuilds, etc.), Preventative Maintenance (PM), brake jobs, ABS systems, and lighting repairs.
608 Certification and Transport Refrigeration is a plus!
**Experienced trailer body techs make premium dollars! **These are 1st shift Monday through Friday positions. Hourly wages based on experience.'
