Responsibilities:
- Ability to diagnose and repair various systems associated with trailer and dolly repair to include but not limited to: ABS diagnostics, roll doors, body repair, accident repair, air brake system inspection and repair, electrical system diagnosis and repair.
- Understand and follow the minimum periodic inspection standards per company policies
- Perform repairs in an efficient and timely manner to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain complete, timely, and accurate records on all maintenance performed.
- Ability to use welding skills and knowledge of metals to complete trailer repairs.
- Perform welding and cutting.
- Perform all work in a safe manner.
- Follow good housekeeping standards.
- Operate a forklift.
- Work shifts specified by Service Manager or Shop Foreman.
- Perform Duties as assigned by management.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to understand oral and written communication
- Utilize service manuals, technical bulletins, and various directives.
- Must be able to work any shift.
- Own necessary basic tools.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- May also engage in standing, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing a ladder, etc.
- Due to the open environment of the shop, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold.
- Must be able to tolerate wearing personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to a hard hat, steel-toed safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, safety glasses and goggles.
