Role Description The Branch Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cheyenne, WY, responsible for overseeing daily branch operations and ensuring efficient, customer-focused service. This role manages staff scheduling, training, and performance, while fostering a safe, collaborative, and results-oriented work environment. The Branch Manager monitors inventory levels for trailers, parts, and rental units, coordinates with service and sales teams to meet customer demands, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising sales activities, supporting service department workflows, reviewing financial performance and budgets, and implementing process improvements to drive profitability and customer satisfaction. The role also involves building strong relationships with customers and vendors, resolving escalated issues, and representing the branch in alignment with Utility Trailer Interstate’s standards and values.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated branch or operations management experience in transportation, automotive, equipment, or related industries, with responsibility for staff oversight and day-to-day operational decisions.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and people management skills, including performance coaching, conflict resolution, and the ability to promote a positive, inclusive workplace.
- Experience with sales and customer service in a B2B environment, including relationship management, negotiation, and handling complex customer inquiries and escalations.
- Working knowledge of inventory control, parts and equipment management, and coordination between sales, service, and rental/lease operations.
- Solid business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial reports, manage budgets, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in common office software and systems used for CRM, inventory, and scheduling.
- Ability to work on-site in Cheyenne, WY, including occasional hands-on involvement in branch operations and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
