What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unit Checker position at Utility Supply and Construction Company?
The Hydaker-Wheatlake Company is seeking a Unit Checker to join our growing team!
Essential Job Functions:
- Drive to and from job sites in assigned territory.
- Complete pre-flight of projects; including pictures, identified hazards, and any other items that might be required by the General Foreman to determine the project viability.
- Properly unitize all projects which includes pre-unitizing all locations, reporting all estimates to General Foreman, Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and Superintendent, post-unitizing all locations
- Work with facilitators to get signed ASBUILT
- Create partial and final billing packages in alignment with customer requirements including pictures, signed prints, crew information and work packages
- Create partial and final AR billing packages which includes proper job numbers, crew information, and signed prints
- Record and submit all Hydaker-Wheatlake and Utility (customer) documentation.
- Ensure that all safety policies, rules, and regulations are followed.
- Act as a representative of The Hydaker-Wheatlake Company in the community.
- Maintain harmonious relations with everyone associated to The Hydaker-Wheatlake Company's projects.
Qualifications:
- Preferred 2-5 years of experience in Electrical Construction
- Preferred DTE Unitization Experience
- High school degree or equivalent
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient with Adobe PDF Editor
