What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool Repair Technician position at Utility Supply and Construction Company?
Power Line Supply is seeking a full-time Tool Repair Technician to join the growing team!
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist in handling materials, tools, supplies, and test equipment in a safe and organized manner.
- Disassemble, diagnose, repair, and reassemble mechanical and hydraulic tools.
- Perform assembly and repair of mechanical grounds.
- Conduct testing of PPE, including gloves, sleeves, blankets, line hoses, hoods, and related equipment.
- Execute stamping, marking, and packaging of PPE in accordance with customer specifications.
- Adhere to all applicable testing standards, including ASTM, ANSI, NAIL, and other regulatory requirements.
- Interpret technical prints, schematics, and diagrams to support repair and testing processes.
- Perform testing of hot line tools and grounds both in the facility and at customer job sites as needed.
- Conduct dielectric testing of insulated buckets and liners.
- Assist with tool inventory management, including tracking, organization, and reporting.
- Ensure that all scheduling activities comply with company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Experience with mechanical and/or hydraulic tool repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
