Summary/Objective
The Bingo Snack Bar Attendant is responsible for providing efficient, friendly service to guests by preparing and serving food and beverage items, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized snack bar environment. This role supports bingo operations by ensuring guests receive prompt service and accurate transactions while upholding sanitation and safety standards. Success in this role is demonstrated by delivering quick, courteous service, maintaining accurate cash handling practices, and contributing to a positive and enjoyable guest experience in the bingo facility.
Key Accountabilities
Service & Sales Support: Provide friendly and efficient service by greeting guests, answering questions, and assisting with food and beverage selections. Promote available items and contribute to overall sales through positive guest interaction.
Cash Handling & Transaction Processing: Accurately process transactions by operating a cash register, receiving payments, issuing receipts, and providing correct change. Maintain accountability for all transactions and ensure accuracy in all financial exchanges.
Cash Control & Reconciliation: Safeguard assigned funds by verifying cash drawers, balancing receipts, and preparing daily reports or deposit documentation as required. Ensure discrepancies are promptly reported.
Food & Beverage Service: Prepare and serve snack bar items in accordance with established procedures, ensuring quality, presentation, and timeliness of service.
Stocking & Merchandising: Maintain product levels by stocking shelves, coolers, counters, and displays. Ensure items are organized, properly labeled, and visually appealing to support sales.
Sanitation & Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe work area by following all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Comply with all applicable federal, state, and tribal regulations, as well as departmental policies.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate snack bar equipment according to established procedures and manufacturer guidelines. Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to leadership.
Team Support & Flexibility: Assist with additional duties as assigned and support team members to ensure efficient snack bar operations and overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:General
- Must be at least 18 years of age and able to obtain and maintain a Ute Mountain Ute Gaming Commission Non-Support License
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid food handler’s permit
- Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
- Must demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with guests
- Ability to accurately handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience
- This is an entry level position
- Previous cashier, point-of-sale, food service, or customer service experience preferred
- Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume environment is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
