This position supports event planning, policy development, budget management, and operational excellence to provide a seamless experience for students, staff, and guests. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree. A combination of two years of experience in a multi-purpose public assembly, event coordination and/or managing projects. Professional event planning and production experience. Experience using standard office productivity software on a personal computer. Experience composing correspondence. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Degree in hospitality or events management. Experience event planning in a higher education environment. Highly organized with an attention to detail. Experience using professional scheduling software (Mazevo and Social Tables). Two years of supervisory experience. Demonstrated ability to follow through with tasks and projects on time and to completion, with little supervision. High energy and creativity. Experience developing college students, including training, mentoring, coaching, and teaching. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Professional demeanor. Skills or experience in negotiation or successfully working with difficult situations. Proofreading experience. The ability to craft a client experience that exceeds Longhorn standards for customer service, event production, and Texas hospitality. Ability to speak Spanish. Driving Required This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing). Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Salary Range $66,000 depending on qualifications Work Shift On-site, In Person.
