Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation, Park City, UT
HR Generalist – Payroll & Benefits

If you're looking for a role where your experience makes a real difference across the whole organization, this is it. UOLF is evolving how it operates, aligning day-to-day work with a broader strategic vision, and this position sits at the center of that shift across three legendary Olympic venues. You'll own payroll and benefits operations while helping shape an HR department built on excellence, grit, and impact. Keep reading if steady structure and meaningful variety sound appealing.

Schedule, Pay & Benefits

  • Full time, Monday–Friday
  • Mostly standard 9-5 business hours, with occasional evenings for employee events
  • Regular travel between the Utah Olympic Park, the Utah Olympic Oval, and Soldier Hollow Nordic Center
  • Range starts at: $51,000, DOE
  • Up to 120 hours of PTO accrued during your first year
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • HSA and 403(b) with employer match
  • Free friends and family vouchers for venue experiences (tubing, bobsled, mountain adventure course)
  • Discounts on retail, concessions, and sport programs

Why This Role

You'll work for a director who listens, backs your ideas, and gives real-time feedback to help you grow, on a team that's diverse in experience and united in supporting each other and the organization. Every day looks different: one week you're solving a payroll question at the Olympic Oval, the next you're helping a manager at Soldier Hollow navigate an accommodation request. You'll work alongside everyone from first-time seasonal staff to Olympic-caliber athletes, building the systems and processes that support UOLF's evolution.

Job Requirements
Must-Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
  • 3–5 years of HR experience, with hands-on payroll and benefits administration
  • Experience serving as an HRIS administrator (Paycom or similar)
  • Working knowledge of leave administration, workers' compensation, and employment regulations
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality

Nice-to-Haves

  • Certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP
  • Experience helping managers and employees adopt and effectively use HR systems

Day in the Life

Your day starts at a desk but doesn't have to end there. You'll process and audit bi-weekly payroll, keeping 403(b) and HSA funding accurate and on time. Between those tasks, you're the first call for a benefits question, an FMLA case, or a workers' comp claim that needs tracking. You'll spend time in the HRIS improving workflows and reporting, and periodically head out to the Oval, the Park, or Soldier Hollow, each with its own rhythm and challenges. Your work is the quiet infrastructure that keeps three Olympic venues running smoothly for the people behind them.

About You at the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation

You're the person who catches the error before it becomes a problem, and the one people trust with sensitive information. You bring excellence to the details of payroll, grit through the complexity of leave and compliance work, and impact by making sure every employee, from seasonal hires to general managers, feels supported. You thrive in collaboration, partnering with your HR Director and fellow generalist, and you're driven by a sense of community, knowing your work helps preserve Utah's Olympic legacy.

Bring your experience to a role with steady structure, meaningful variety, and a team that has your back, where your work is felt across the whole organization and three Olympic venues keep the job endlessly interesting.
