About the Utah Islanders
The Utah Islanders are building one of the most unique football development programs in the country. We are an independent collegiate academic development football program designed to give serious athletes a real pathway to continue competing, developing, and preparing for the next level.
Our schedule is not built for easy wins. We compete against high-level collegiate and junior college competition, giving our athletes exposure to top programs, college-level speed, and legitimate game film. Our goal is to prepare players the right way: through elite coaching, disciplined preparation, competitive practices, and a schedule that demands growth.

Position Overview
The Utah Islanders are seeking a Wide Receivers Coach and a Defensive Backs Coach to join our football staff.
These roles are for coaches who understand the standard required to compete against top-level competition. We need position coaches who can teach technique, build confidence, demand discipline, and help athletes prepare for the speed and expectations of college football.
Candidates may be considered for one specific position group or for multiple responsibilities depending on background and experience.
Key Responsibilities
● Coach and develop either wide receivers or defensive backs
● Teach position-specific technique, fundamentals, assignments, and football IQ
● Assist with practice planning, individual periods, film review, and game preparation
● Help prepare athletes to compete against high-level collegiate competition
● Support the offensive or defensive coordinator with weekly game planning
● Hold players accountable to program standards on and off the field
● Assist with player evaluation, recruiting conversations, and athlete development
● Build strong relationships with players while maintaining a high-performance culture
● Represent the Utah Islanders professionally with athletes, families, partners, and opponents
Minimum Qualifications
● Minimum 3 years of coaching experience
● Strong understanding of wide receiver or defensive back position play
● Ability to teach technique clearly and consistently
● Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
● Ability to work within a staff structure and support the overall program vision
● Commitment to player development, discipline, and accountability
Preferred Qualifications
● College, junior college, high school varsity, or professional coaching experience
● Former college or professional playing experience
● Experience breaking down film and preparing position groups for weekly opponents
● Recruiting experience or strong local football relationships
