Position Summary
The EMS Vent Paramedic provides safe, high quality, patient-centered care within a state-regulated and program-defined scope of practice. The EMS Vent Paramedic is trained, equipped and willing to deliver care in a mobile environment, as well as function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team within healthcare facilities during patient transport. The EMS Vent Paramedic functions clinically under the direction of the program's Medical Director and Clinical Manager through Patient Care Guidelines and online medical direction, in compliance with the regulations of the Tennessee Department of Health, Office of EMS. Employees are accountable to exemplify excellent service behavior to patients, clients, visitors, physicians, colleagues, and vendors, while exhibiting professional courtesy, personalized attention, respect, compassion, and prompt responsiveness to all customers at all times. The EMS Vent Paramedic will act as the team leader during care of patients in transport.
