Get to Know Your Team:
- UT Health Athens is a 127-bed facility, including a 24-hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke ready facility; advanced diagnostic technology; 10-bed ICU; maternity unit radiation therapy center; and a stand-alone ED in Gun Barrel City.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and leads all aspects of the Medical Staff Services Office.
- Maintains accurate files for all physicians, dentists, podiatrists, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, all allied health practitioners as defined in the Medical Staff Bylaws / Rules and regulations.
- Maintains schedules for all medical staff committees / subcommittees, work groups.
- Manages appointment, reappointment, and changes in status / credentials for all LIP and advanced practice practitioners
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High school graduation
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Certification by the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as a Certified Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and/or Certified Professional Medical Staff Services Management (CPMSM)
