What does the Formulation & Quoting Specialist do?
The Formulation & Quoting Specialist is essential to the success of the sales and production teams. In this role, the ideal candidate will provide technical support to the sales team through quoting and assisting clients/customers with technical questions. This person will also help the production team when it comes to reformulating the 'hard-to-run' projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and respond with timely and accurate quotes for customer projects.
- Assist the sales team with technical knowledge of products and ingredients to answer customer questions.
- Ability to develop relationships with vendors, and obtain competitive prices on a regular basis to ensure best buys
- Identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities for formulas through ingredients.
- Assist production with reformulating the 'hard-to-run' projects and suggesting solutions.
Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented, responsive, and efficient
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify a client’s needs and respond accordingly
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Associates Degree
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field preferred
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years in Dietary Supplements
