Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Load, unload, and organize packages using manual handling techniques
- Execute efficient route driving to ensure timely delivery of parcels across urban and rural areas
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with recipients and addressing any delivery questions or concerns
- Follow safe lifting practices during manual handling of packages, especially when dealing with heavy or bulky items
- Maintain accurate delivery records using mobile devices and ensure all package documentation is complete and up-to-date
- Load and unload packages at the warehouse or distribution center as needed, utilizing manual transmission vehicles and material handling equipment
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen and had lived in the US for the past 5 years
- Must have 2 years prior driving history
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely, including moving packages of varying weights up to 70lbs using proper techniques
- Familiarity with route driving and adherence to traffic laws to ensure safety on every trip
- Comfort operating mobile devices for route navigation, package scanning, and record keeping
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional communication style
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling equipment operation (such as pallet jacks), and weight handling in the workplace is advantageous
