Position Summary
Responsible for timely and accurate processing and funding of indirect consumer loans within the applicable loan origination system. Works directly with dealership to verify all loan documents are received and accurate. Establishes new accounts and funds completed loans to the membership account. Prepares and sends loan packets for scanning and retention. Prepares and sends welcome packets with applicable loan information, as well as reaches out to onboard new members to the Credit Union. Maintains select department reports as directed by management. Balances month-end Accounting GL's related to Indirect Lending. Develops, maintains, and demonstrates a working knowledge of credit union loan standards, policies, procedures and applicable state and federal government rules and regulations.
Essential Functions Include:
- Responsible for processing and funding indirect consumer loans. Ensures all documentation is received and accurate. Verifies proof of income, employment and other applicant information as needed. Communicates any dealer quality control or potential fraud concerns to lending management.
- Maintains strong rapport with dealers, working directly with them when loan packet items are missing or inaccurate.
- Respond to incoming dealership inquiries on loan status.
- Follows-up with dealers on approved, not funded, applications to ask for the business. Supports Underwriters by fielding dealer second-look or other escalated loan review requests.
- Prepares and sends welcome packets to members. Makes follow- up calls to members who have not made their first payment. Takes dealer calls as a back up to underwriters when needed.
- Maintains select department reports and partners with Accounting to ensure all GL's and daily funding amounts balance.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in consumer lending in a financial institution required.
- Able to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities, and meet deadlines. Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures. Must demonstrate a functional knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance necessary to successfully perform job responsibilities.
Additional Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, including phone skills, in order to interact professionally and effectively with dealers and staff.
- Must be able to work under moderate supervision.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Work Environment:
Hybrid Schedule: One day in-office per week
Physical Requirements:
Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10lbs of force occasionally to life, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
