Job Description
The School of Nursing in the College of Health Professions has an opening for a full-time 9 month Clinical Assistant Professor. Position available August 2026. Teaching responsibilities may include classroom and clinical instruction in the Pre-Licensure BSN and/or BA/BS to BSN Program in med-surg/fundamental nursing. Other duties include academic advising of students, participation in ongoing curriculum development and evaluation, committee assignments, and active engagement in scholarly activities. The department also seeks candidates who will contribute to the University’s general education curriculum and its emphasis on using high-impact teaching practices, particularly those affiliated with one (or more) of the institution’s pedagogical initiatives (e.g., Community-based Learning, Critical Thinking, First Year Seminar, Writing Across Curriculum, etc.). Additionally, the ideal candidate will contribute to the College’s support of interdisciplinary programs of study. Candidates interviewing on campus must have official transcripts (undergraduate and graduate) forwarded directly to the chair of the search committee by their degree granting institutions, prior to an on-campus interview
