Overview
Schedule: 4 days, 10hr Shifts; 8pm - 6:30am Mon - Thurs no weekends, rotating holidays
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Perioperative Core Technician, under regular supervision and following established procedures and instructions, provides basic direct care to patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse. Assists room turnover, cleaning, patient positioning, obtaining supplies/equipment, patient transport and specimen delivery. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, Specimens, and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 1 yearâs related experience preferred. Able to write, speak fluently and understand English and communicate effectively and tactfully with patients.
Education/Licensure/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a Certified PCSA course, Operating Room Technician Training Course or equivalent within 1 year of starting in the role; Or completion of first semester of Nursing School. Current BLS from AmericanHeart Association.
