Overview
Schedule : Days Purpose Statement/Position Summary : The CARES Center is a specialized forensic program dedicated to the assessment and treatment of child abuse. The work is both emotionally demanding and clinically complex, requiring a high level of skill, resilience, and professional judgment. Candidates must have formal forensic interview experience and demonstrate strong competency in conducting comprehensive child abuse assessments.Success in this role also depends on the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with investigators, partner agencies, and community organizations. These partnerships are essential to delivering the standard of care that defines the CARES teams mission and commitment. Must be able to work independently. Demonstrates commitment to a patient and family-centered model of care. Demonstrates confidence and skill in child advocacy and dispute resolution. Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience : 2 years experience as a social worker in a medical setting with children, youth, and families. Education/Licensure/Certification : Masters degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or equivalent accreditation. Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California (LCSW). Application process for CCS paneling will be completed within the first 90 days of hire. Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification.Pay Scale Information
