Overview
Purpose Statement/Position Summary:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the ED delivers comprehensive, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role prioritizes direct patient care while actively contributing to divisional quality improvement initiatives and the enhancement of clinical outcomes. Additionally, the APP supports orientation efforts and provides education to patients, families, and team members to promote understanding and engagement in care.
APP patient coverage requires, regularly scheduled days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call obligations.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: ⢠Required: Enhanced knowledge of pediatric patient care principles, and ability to manage specialty patient care and emergencies by prioritizing patient care acuity and tasks, collaborating with entire care team critically, comprehensively both verbally and in writing.
⢠Preferred: APP experience in Pediatric Emergency Department.
Education/Licensure/Certification: Required: ⢠Master's Degree from an accredited college or university ⢠PA - Physician Assistant State License or NP - Nurse Practitioner License⢠DEA - Drug Enforcement Administration⢠American Health Association BLS - Basic Life Support & PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Certification (NP) Required:⢠Pediatric Nurse-Practitioner Acute-Care OR DUAL⢠Pediatric Nurse-Practitioner Primary-care⢠Family Nurse-Practitioner (Post-Masterâs Pediatric Preferred)
