This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions for the GS-2210, Information Technology (IT) Management Series (Alternative A).
Experience: Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.
For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect quality level experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. - Provides cybersecurity systems development/analysis expertise in designing, integrating, and updating comprehensive system security measures, ensuring compliance with security requirements, conducting risk assessments, developing cybersecurity solutions, and providing guidance on system implementation, all while addressing critical operational needs and mitigating risks.

- Advanced expertise in information security laws, regulations, and frameworks, vulnerability assessments, security log analysis, policy development, security technology evaluation, and effective communication with cross-functional teams. Advanced skills in designing, implementing, and managing complex infrastructure systems, proficiency in infrastructure automation and configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible), experience in deploying and maintaining infrastructure platforms (e.g. Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes), expertise in network architecture and security protocols, knowledge of virtualization/containerization technologies (e.g. libvirt, CRI-O), and the ability to operate within cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP)under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
- Information Assurance Certifications is a condition of employment. This position includes information assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within 6 months of assignment to these duties. A waiver of this 6-monthrequirement may be granted per DoD 8570-01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position. IA Category 3 - Technical/Level II (2).
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering; or related field, along with a minimum of 8 years of demonstrable experience in systems development, analysis, and implementation is highly desired. A master's degree in one of these fields is preferred.
