USA Track & Field (USATF) is the National Governing Body for track and field, Para track and field, long distance running, and race walking in the United States. Our brand reflects the athletes, fans, and community we serve, and we rely on strong creative work to bring it to life.
 
USATF is seeking a Graphic Designer with 3 to 5 years of professional experience.  This role reports to the CMO-CRO and calls for a designer who can handle a wide range of projects, move comfortably in a fast-paced environment, and bring fresh ideas to social media design, event branding, and day-to-day creative needs for the organization. A passion for sports and a desire to learn the nuances of track and field is important for success in this role.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Produce a broad range of design work including social media content, event logos, print collateral, email graphics, apparel layouts, and website assets.
  • Manage projects from concept through final delivery with an understanding that timelines vary and may shift quickly.
  • Ensure all delivered graphics meet project requirements and align with USATF brand standards in both look and functionality.
  • Collaborate with printers and vendors on specs, pricing, and production needs.
  • Support brand consistency across all departments and help maintain internal and external brand alignment.
  • Travel to select championship events during the year to support on-site graphics and promotional needs.

  • Support of the internal creative workflow and communication with our agency partners.
 
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience designing for social media, including platform-specific sizing and best practices.
  • Knowledge of preparing files for print and saving optimized assets for web.
  • Strong photo editing and retouching skills.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to shift priorities as new requests come in.
  • Clear communication skills and comfort giving and receiving feedback.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment and handle multiple projects at once.
 
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, multimedia, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in design or creative services.
  • Online portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including social content and brand application.
