A well-respected financial services firm is looking for a highly detail-oriented and experienced Investment Operations Specialist to join their growing team. This individual will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operational and client service functions that keep the investment and planning process running smoothly.
This role requires experience in investment operations and client servicing, as well as the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and focused on delivering exceptional client experiences behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate account openings, transfers, and asset consolidation in coordination with custodians and internal teams
- Maintain and update client records, investment data, and service requests with precision
- Communicate professionally with clients to support service needs, changes, and follow-ups
- Execute portfolio rebalancing and trades as directed, ensuring timely and compliant execution
- Support implementation of firm-wide investment changes and planning recommendations
- Prepare performance and portfolio reporting materials for leadership and clients
- Take initiative in expanding knowledge of industry tools, products, and regulatory requirements
- Track tasks with attention to detail and maintain accountability for deadlines and accuracy
- Balance collaborative teamwork with independent ownership of responsibilities
- Respond with agility and clarity to changing priorities and client needs
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in investment operations, client services, or a related back-office role within the wealth management, broker dealer, or RIA space
- Active Series 65 or 66 license required
- Strong understanding of custodial processes, account documentation, and portfolio mechanics
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proficiency in portfolio management software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-first mentality
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and accountability
