Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Drainage Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in installing and maintaining drainage systems on construction sites. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality, we want to hear from you!
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Install various drainage systems, including French drains, catch basins, and storm-water management systems.
  • Read and interpret site plans and blueprints to determine the best drainage solutions.
  • Set up lasers, shoot grade, and set grade stakes accurately; read and understand construction grade stakes and related mathematics.
  • Operate heavy machinery such as trenchers and backhoes to prepare sites and install drainage components.
  • Ensure proper slope and alignment for effective water flow and system performance.
  • Perform regular maintenance and inspections of installed drainage systems.
  • Take initiative and collaborate effectively with the Field Supervisor and team members to assist with other tasks as needed to ensure timely project completion.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety vests, glasses, long pants, and hard sole/close-toed work boots. Maintain a clean and professional appearance.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in site drainage installation or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
  • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is a plus.
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, equipment, and tools, often weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Standing and Walking: Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving around job sites, often on uneven or rough terrain.
  • Bending, Kneeling, and Crouching: Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching to install drainage components and work in confined spaces.
  • Climbing: Ability to climb in and out of trenches, ditches, and other excavated areas safely.
  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle and operate tools, equipment, and machinery with precision and control.
  • Vision: Adequate vision to read site plans, operate machinery, and ensure proper alignment and installation of drainage systems.
  • Hearing: Ability to hear and respond to instructions, machinery sounds, and safety alerts on the job site.
  • Outdoor Work: Willingness and capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
  • Physical Stamina: Sustained physical effort over extended periods, including working long hours when necessary to meet project deadlines.
Upon offer, employees will be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background and MVR check.
