USA Precast Concrete is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to lead and strengthen our safety culture across our growing concrete manufacturing operation.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you'll work alongside production employees, supervisors, drivers, and leadership to ensure every team member goes home safely each day. If you enjoy being on the production floor, coaching employees, solving problems, and driving continuous improvement, we'd like to meet you.

We're looking for someone with 2-5 years of safety experience, preferably in concrete manufacturing, precast concrete, construction materials, heavy manufacturing, fabrication, steel, or industrial production environments.

What You'll Do

As the Safety Coordinator, you'll help build and maintain a world-class safety culture by:

• Leading company-wide safety initiatives and promoting safe work practices
• Ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and applicable state and federal regulations
• Conducting routine safety inspections, audits, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and risk assessments
• Identifying hazards and implementing corrective and preventative actions
• Investigating accidents, injuries, and near misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence
• Maintaining OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs along with all required safety documentation
• Developing, updating, and implementing safety policies, SOPs, and training materials
• Conducting new hire safety orientation and coordinating PPE distribution
• Delivering engaging safety training for employees and supervisors
• Coaching supervisors and team leaders on safety leadership and accountability
• Managing PPE programs, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), emergency equipment inspections, and safety supplies
• Overseeing driver safety training and assisting with DOT compliance
• Coordinating emergency drills, annual health screenings, wellness initiatives, and required safety education
• Leading Safety Committee meetings and encouraging employee involvement
• Walking the production floor daily to engage employees, answer questions, and reinforce safe work practices
• Preparing safety reports and tracking key performance metrics for leadership

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a Safety Coordinator, Safety Specialist, EHS, or similar role
• Experience in manufacturing, production, concrete, construction materials, fabrication, steel, industrial, or heavy manufacturing
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
• Experience conducting safety investigations, inspections, audits, and employee training
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently while building strong relationships across all departments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in precast concrete or concrete manufacturing
• DOT compliance experience
• Experience maintaining OSHA recordkeeping requirements
• OSHA 30, OHST, ASP, CSP, or similar safety certifications
