U.S. Army's Information Technology (IT)

• Network & Systems Administration: Installing, configuring, and maintaining local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), servers, routers, and switching systems. You will manage user accounts, provide technical support, and ensure our communication networks are reliable and efficient.
• Cybersecurity Operations: Protecting critical Army data and networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats. This includes conducting defensive cyber operations, performing vulnerability assessments, responding to security incidents, and executing offensive cyber missions when directed.
• Communications Management: Operating and maintaining a diverse array of communication systems, including tactical radios, global satellite (SATCOM) links, and fiber-optic/copper cable infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity for voice and data.
• Intelligence & Electronic Warfare: Maintaining and integrating the complex systems used for intelligence gathering. This involves analyzing foreign communications, intercepting electronic signals, and utilizing the electromagnetic spectrum to disrupt enemy capabilities while protecting our own.
• Hardware Maintenance & Repair: Performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on a wide variety of computer systems, network hardware, detection systems, and other critical electronic equipment to ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident meeting Army enlistment requirements.
• A strong interest or aptitude in technology, computers, and problem-solving.
• Ability to learn and apply complex technical information.
• Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance, which is required for all positions in this field.
• Prior experience or certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco) are beneficial but not required, as the Army provides all necessary training.
• Must be 17-42 years of age.
