Gas Station Manager

Duties

• Lead and supervise all aspects of gas station operations, including cashiering, fueling, and convenience store activities
• Recruit, train, and develop team members to deliver exceptional customer service and operational excellence
• Manage inventory control, purchasing, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maximize profitability
• Oversee cash handling procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and POS (Point of Sale) system management
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, health standards, and environmental policies
• Implement merchandising strategies to promote products and increase sales in the retail store
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Proven management experience in retail or gas station environments with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and retail math principles
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable
• Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development
• Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and operational management
• Ability to supervise staff effectively while fostering teamwork and leadership within the retail sales team
• Basic math skills for cash handling, pricing adjustments, and inventory calculations
• Familiarity with grocery store or convenience store operations is a plus
• Organizational skills to manage shift schedules, merchandising displays, stock levels, and store maintenance
• Customer service orientation with phone etiquette and professional appearance
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and manage multiple priorities efficiently
