Job Profile Summary Responsible for designing, conducting and analyzing the results of market research studies regarding the organization's existing and proposed products and services. Activities include: • Monitoring market conditions, trends, competitors, etc. to project business sector/consumer demand and inform product launch timing • Researching competitor behavior including marketing strategies, pricing, sales and methods of operation • Monitoring media coverage and polling/interviewing customers and/or retailers to determine perceptions of brands/products • Identifying purchasing behaviors, price/discount sensitivity, brand loyalty, etc. across customer segments and sales channels • Simulating the impact of proposed marketing campaigns and measuring results against targets

JOB SUMMARY
Review all customer pricing, markets, and nationals for margin growth and opportunities. Oversees the setup and maintenance of all Corporate Multi-Unit (CMU) and Local contract bids and order guides. Analyzes identify and propose actions to both purchasing and sales departments to ensure compliance with the Corporate Multi-Unit (CMU) business and grow margin/profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Review margin reports daily at customer and item level to ensure the operation company (OpCo) is making the correct adjusted gross profit.
• Review top moving items for margin enhancement and make recommendations to purchasing departments.
• Review markets daily and recommend price changes to customer bids and market and national cost.
• Review all bids for correct pricing, i.e. suitability, adjusted gross profit, and case movement
• Assist VP Purchasing/Sales in developing queries/reports.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Experience
5 years in production, purchasing experience preferred

Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, effective written/oral communication skills, strong analytical skills

Decision Making Authority
Most important decisions made fully independently:
Setting & submitting cost basis for CMU and Local contract business
Directing pricing coordinators on bid set up and communication with buyers and sales re: CMU business

Most important decisions made with review and approval of other individuals or supervisors (include the reviews/approvals required):
Which bids to delete or items delete off the bid, review with VP of sales
