Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior Accountant / Financial Auditor to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial accounting, external auditing, balance sheet reconciliation, and journal entries. Strong proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle/SAP or any ERP), Excel, and effective communication skills are required. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.
- Assist in financial audits, working closely with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory standards.
- Utilize ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or other ERP) for financial reporting and transaction processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve financial reporting accuracy.
- Generate and analyse financial reports to support decision-making processes.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support internal controls and help identify areas for process improvements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in financial accounting, journal entries, and external auditing.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or any other ERP) and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with auditors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical industry is a plus but not required.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience working with external auditors in audit engagements.
- Exposure to financial statement preparation and reporting.
- Experience in audit procedures, risk assessment, and compliance-related activities.
