Payer Evidence Translation (PET) Consultant
Within the Global Integrated Evidence & Innovation (GIE&I) department, the PET Consultant drives the development of impactful resources and tools for field engagement with payers and other Health Care Decision Makers (HCDMs).
Responsibilities:- Work cross functionally (within GIE&I and with Global Medical Affairs and Market Access) to support development and execution of a strong payer engagement and communication strategy across the portfolio.
- Create and maintain a dynamic roadmap of evidence generation and resource development plans for the Managed Market Liaison (MML) team and harmonize with Market Access.
- Lead the development and approval of scientific medical content and resources for payers and other HCDMs - including pipeline, disease state education (DSE), pre-approval information exchange (PIE), health care economic information (HCEI)/real-world evidence (RWE), and population health resources.
- Partner with the Value Evidence Strategy and Global Medical Affairs leads to ensure all field resources have clear, concise, and impactful payer value messages - elevating the clinical, economic, and humanistic value of ***’s products.
- Lead and facilitate ongoing resource training for the MML team, with the payer value story as the foundation.
- Partner cross functionally to ensure that payer insights are informing strategy and resource development.
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MPH) in a relevant scientific or health-related field.
- 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of managed care, health policy, and HCEI/RWE, as well as FDA guidance for payer communications.
- Experience effectively leading and executing scientific tactics, including development of field resources for payer/HCDM engagement.
- Exceptional organizational/time management skills and ability to collaborate and influence within large cross-functional teams.
- Proven communications skills as evidenced by medical communications experience (e.g., with a medical communications agency) or other experience highlighting communication expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously; willingness to take initiative on advancing projects and ability to identify what is necessary to complete tasks.
- Experience working with agencies/vendors to execute projects.
- Strong strategic thinking and track record for operational excellence.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Prior knowledge and proficiency with Veeva Promotional and Medical review processes strongly preferred.
- Experience with contracting and budget management strongly preferred.
- Experience in CNS and/or Nephrology preferred.
- Ability to work effectively as a contractor and to align with ***’s values.
