Position Summary
The University Club is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Squash Professional to join our accomplished team. With over a century of history, our squash program is among the most prestigious in the country, having hosted amateur, collegiate, and professional tournaments. You will work closely with our Head Squash Professional to deliver a dynamic, year-round program for our distinguished membership.
This role blends on-court instruction, administrative duties, and event support. Responsibilities include teaching lessons and clinics, coordinating member match play, managing communications, assisting with Pro Shop operations, and helping execute tournaments and events. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, member-focused environment and is committed to creating an engaging, inclusive, and development-focused experience for players of all levels.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging private, semi-private, and group lessons for adults and juniors across all skill levels, fostering skill development and a love of the game.
- Support the Squash department with executive administrative tasks, including proactive member communications, scheduling, and follow-up via email and phone.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing Club tournaments, leagues, and special events to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for members.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with members and staff, cultivating a welcoming, positive, and inclusive environment on and off the court.
- Collaborate with staff to maintain and oversee squash courts and facilities, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Innovate and contribute new program ideas and initiatives to elevate the squash experience and expand member engagement and participation.
- The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment while demonstrating the ability to balance competing priorities with professionalism and poise.
- Excellent written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a polished presence.
- Experience in both singles and doubles Squash preferred.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and able to work effectively with pro staff, locker room attendants, and other Club employees.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable squash coaching experience with adults and juniors across all skill levels; experience in both singles and doubles squash and prior private club experience is a plus.
This position offers a competitive annual average compensation ranging from $95,000 to $115,000, inclusive of lesson income and commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Club provides comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage, along with generous paid time off including vacation, personal days, holidays, and sick leave. Additional benefits include short-term and long-term disability coverage and a 401(k)-retirement plan with a Club contribution. The role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses.
