About the Company

The U.S. Navy has two programs that offers financial assistance during Medical School with job guarantee and follow on Residency and Fellowship programs. These programs provide substantial support for your education and career path.


Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP)

  • Flexible Scholarships: Two, three, and four-year scholarships available.
  • Sign-On Bonus: Qualify for a $20,000 signing bonus.
  • Full Tuition Coverage: 100% of your medical school tuition is covered.
  • Generous Monthly Stipend: Receive $2,999 per month for living expenses.
  • Educational Expenses: Full reimbursement for all required books, supplies, and equipment.
  • Active-Duty Experience: Gain active-duty pay and benefits for 45 days each year.


Health Services Collegiate Program (HSCP)

  • Active Duty Status: Serve as an Officer Candidate First Class (OCPO1/E-6) and receive a military salary ranging from $3,280 to $5,610 per month while attending medical school.
  • Note: The range in monthly pay is due to the housing allowance included in that figure, which is based on the location of your graduate school. Areas with a higher cost of living will offer a higher housing allowance.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Full health-care benefits for you, your spouse, and children.
  • Retirement Benefits: Time in the program counts toward your military retirement.
  • Vacation Time: Earn vacation while in the program.
  • Housing Allowance: In addition to the base pay, you receive a housing allowance based on your graduate school’s location, ensuring you are supported regardless of where you study.
  • Note: HPCP does not cover tuition, books, or school fees.


Eligibility Requirements

  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Age: Must complete your degree by age 42.
  • Health: Must meet the Navy’s physical requirements.
