What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Clerk position at US Motor Works?
Job Summary: The Logistics Clerk is responsible for regulating the supply chain by performing administrative tasks such as filing customs entries, arranging transportation methods, managing shipping schedules, processing receipt of goods and ensuring that electronic or paper files are kept accurately and up to date.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· None
Duties and Responsibilities: Will include, but not limited to:
· File import entries with Custom Border protection
· Arrange and monitor inbound transportation.
· Creates new PO’s from existing data upon shipment from vendors.
· Maintains and updates shipment log “Tracker” with freight charges, HTS codes, landed costs, etc. and enters this information into the ERP. Distributes this information internally as required.
· Receives parts into inventory and invoices shipments upon their arrival at our dock.
· Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
· Performs other related duties for the Supply Chain department as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent and precise data entry skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Ability to work independently.
· High School diploma or equivalent required.
· Previous experience in logistics preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
