Staffing Coordinator

Full-time | $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
About Us
We're a healthcare staffing agency on Long Island placing nurses and aides in 1:1 school assignments across Nassau and Suffolk counties. Small, family-run office.
The Role
You'll run the daily schedule for our field staff and be the first person nurses, aides, and school districts talk to when something comes up. Scheduling issue? You fix it. Payroll, billing, or credential question? You get it to the right person and make sure it gets handled.
You'll train alongside our current scheduler through the fall and take full ownership of the role. Looking for a mid-August start, before the school year ramps up.
What You'll Do
- Build and adjust daily schedules, fill open shifts, handle call-outs
- Answer calls from staff and school districts, solve scheduling problems on the spot
- Route payroll, billing, and credential questions to the right person and follow up
- Keep a log of issues and where they stand
- Escalate anything clinical or safety-related to management right away
- Open the office and keep our scheduling system up to date
What We're Looking For
- No experience required — we'll train you. Customer service, dispatch, or staffing background is a plus
- Organized and calm when the phones are busy
- Professional on the phone
- Reliable — you're opening the office at 7:30 AM
- Open to joining our after-hours on-call rotation once fully trained (later this year)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Schedule & Pay
- Monday–Friday, in office, 7:30 AM start
- $20.00 – $22.00/hour based on experience
