US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Full Time Cardiac Exercise Technician to join our team at Memorial Cardiology Associates in Houston, TX
Responsibilities:
- Explains testing procedures to patients and obtains consent form.
- Attaches electrodes to patient's arms, legs, and chest area.
- Places IV for patient exam.
- Starts electrocardiograph and records vitals data.
- Informs the technologist of wave abnormalities on electrocardiogram.
- Lends support to Advanced Practitioner and Nuclear Medicine Technologist during critical care events.
- Creates PDF of completed EKG exam.
- Uploads exam to patient chart and PACS system.
- Documents patient vitals for final report.
- Cleans, adjusts, and performs routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintains accurate inventory of materials and supplies.
- Verifies patient appointments the day before, confirms appointment time and location.
- Assists in the training of new personnel.
- Assists in notifying patients of special instructions prior to testing,
- Assists in maintaining department volume and productivity through schedule management.
- Escorts patients to check-out.
- Performs all other duties as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Prior IV or Cardiac experience preferred but not required.
