This position is part of the Chief of Staff, Government Publishing Office in Washington,
District of Columbia.
* Research answers to questions by consulting archives, subject matter experts, regulations, and other verifiable sources of information;
* Identify critical resources needed to accomplish tasks, and coordinate with individuals as needed to meet time frames required;
* Assist with the development of reports detailing the impact of trends on agency specific programs and initiatives; and
* Work with leadership to prepare written materials for the Director, congressional committees, and other key audiences, and coordinate timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Qualifications:
To qualify for the Congressional Relations Specialist, PG - 0301 - 13, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-12 grade level in the Federal service, or equivalent, that includes the ability to:* Research answers to questions by consulting archives, subject matter experts, regulations, and other verifiable sources of information;
* Identify critical resources needed to accomplish tasks, and coordinate with individuals as needed to meet time frames required;
