The test engineer will estimate project resources and interface with procurement, engineering, quality, and operations units to carry out day-to-day activities. Duties & Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain testing assets within the Engineering Test Lab facility.
- Ensure configuration management and maintenance of all test stations within the facility in operational condition.
- Promote and support 5S principles daily and participate in Continuous Improvement events.
- Responsible for designing and reviewing test fixtures.
- Generate price quotes and order components such as test equipment, consumables, and production parts. Will order or fabricate test fixtures.
- Provide tracking status of all ongoing projects.
- Ensure calibrated equipment is tracked and processed through in-house and outside sources.
- Develop test plans, write acceptance and qualification test procedures, conduct tests, and generate reports.
- Perform data analysis and publish qualification test reports.
- Provide design-for-testability feedback to design engineering during product development.
- Support the operations group with maintenance of production acceptance test equipment as required.
- Support acceptance testing on electro-mechanical parts before delivery as required.
- Support design activities using SolidWorks and AutoCad to create and/or update drawings and models.
- Meet with customers to understand their requirements, assist in specification development, share technical information, and promote our company and products.
- Travel requirements will be approximately 10%.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’).
- Minimum 2-year degree (engineering preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years minimum related experience.
- Aerospace or Industrial testing experience preferred.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD/CATIA.
- Working knowledge of LabVIEW.
- Basic knowledge of electrical controls, electrical schematics, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to drive results.
