Job Overview
We are seeking a Machine Operator / Material Handler to join our growing fabrication team. This dual role combines operating specialized tile and stone machinery with handling raw and finished materials to ensure production runs efficiently. Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
- Set up, operate, and monitor stone and tile fabrication equipment, including bullnose edging machines, polishing stations, and waterjet cutting machinery.
- Perform quality checks to ensure cuts, edges, and finishes meet US Bullnosing's high standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of machines to minimize downtime.
- Load materials onto machines and support quick changeovers to meet production schedules.
Material Handling
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other handling equipment to move raw tile and stone materials as well as finished products.
- Stage and organize materials for fabrication and shipping, ensuring accurate labeling and inventory control.
- Package and prepare finished products for delivery, protecting them to maintain quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant workspace and follow all company safety procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience as a machine operator, material handler, or in a warehouse/fabrication setting preferred.
- Comfortable working with tile, stone, or other heavy materials.
- Forklift operation experience or certification is a plus.
- Basic math and measurement skills, with the ability to use tools such as tape measures and calipers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Able to lift and safely handle heavy materials.
