Duties

  • Represents the directorate on matters related to operations and training.
  • Provides guidance on short and long range plans, resolved personnel issues, and make decisions on complex work problems.
  • Serves as a senior advisor on program management, personnel, operations, security, budgeting, administration, and systems management.

  • This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 20% of the time.
  • Call back and emergency duty are occasional requirements of this position.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450.
  • Incumbent requires to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance Level.
  • Drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program in accordance with AR 600-85.
  • Supervisory Probationary may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Represents the organization on matters related to operations and training; (2) Provides guidance on short- and long-range plans, resolved personnel issues, and making decisions on complex work problems; (3) Serves as a senior advisor on program management, personnel, operations, security, budgeting, administration, and systems management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
