Ursuline Academy seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative Events & Engagement Manager to lead the planning and execution of signature fundraising events and support engagement programming across the school community.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Engagement and Leadership Giving, the Manager is responsible for the overall direction of Ursuline’s major fundraising events and plays a key role in strengthening community engagement, both of which are vital components of the Academy’s advancement efforts. This position works closely with Advancement colleagues, school administrators, and volunteers to deliver high-quality, mission-aligned programs and experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Execution
- Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of signature fundraising events (including, but not limited to, the annual gala and golf tournament) to generate critical revenue in support of the Academy’s mission
- Oversee all aspects of event planning, including budgets, timelines, invitation strategy, communications and marketing materials, vendor and facility coordination, and staffing plans
- Partner with members of the Advancement team to support the solicitation and engagement of sponsors, donors, and key participants
Event Follow-Up & Reporting
- In partnership with the Advancement Services Manager, manage and track all event follow-up, including acknowledgment of sponsors and donors, and reporting on funds raised
Engagement Programming
- Provide logistical leadership and support for engagement events, including but not limited to Women in Leadership, parent receptions, Reunion Weekend, the Ursa Major & Minor program, and other student-focused initiatives
Institutional Collaboration & Events
- Serve as the Advancement liaison for commencement and other large-scale on-campus events
- Support internal community events such as Catholic Schools Week and staff appreciation initiatives
- Contribute to Advancement-wide initiatives and events in support of the Academy’s strategic goals
Reporting & Institutional Support
- Prepare reports and updates for the Head of School, Chief Advancement Officer, and Advancement Committee as needed
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the Academy
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent professional experience)
- 2–3 years of experience in event planning, advancement, or a related field
- Knowledge and understanding of fundraising principles and practices
Skills & Additional Qualifications
- Strong organizational, listening, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents, including administrators, alumnae, parents, donors, and vendors
- Commitment to supporting the mission and equity initiatives of Ursuline Academy
- Experience in an independent school or higher education setting is a plus
- Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge or NXT is a plus

Working Environment
This is a campus-based role requiring regular presence during the workday, along with evening and occasional weekend commitments to support events throughout the year.
The position includes a mix of office-based work and active event execution. Responsibilities may involve standing for extended periods, moving event materials, and navigating campus buildings and outdoor spaces. The ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing event needs is essential. Occasional travel may be required.
Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 annually
This is a full-time, 12-month position. The salary range represents the established compensation parameters for this role. Placement within the range is determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
